How do you feel on Arsenals league position at the moment?
Pretty gutted really, we’ve looked great at times this season, however, I have to say I think deep down, we all knew the title was beyond us. 3rd is an improvement on 4th… defensively, we’ve regressed and that’s not good enough in my book.
Dreadful, with a few signings we could have cleaned up
So close at times to making a big suprise but we let it slip each year. Gutting.
- Where will Arsenal finish at the end of the season?
I suspect we’ll finish 3rd. I’m glad we’ll finish in that position by bumbling our way through, there’s should be no doubt in Wenger’s mind that there are a lot of problems with this team.
3rd
We should finish 3rd as we should defo be able to beat Fulham as they will be resting players.
- Who’s been Arsenals best player this season?
It’s a tough call. My favourite player this season has been Tommy V. The guy is the footballing reincarnation of Martin Keown. Good in the air, aggressive and overall… a top, top player. However, on merit and productivity, you’ve got to give the award to Cesc. An amazing player and statistics to drool over.
Cesc Fabregas, Tomas Vermaelen and Campbell
Agreeing with the other two, Vermaelan has been great but I have been really impressed with Nasri.
- If Arsene was to spend 50m in the window, who would you like to see come in?
I’d be looking at Joe Hart for £12million, Matuidi £5million, Gary Cahill £8million, chygrynskiy £6million, Eden Hazard £15mill.
Hart, Rodwell, Richards, Villa and Subotic
Joe Hart, Gary Cahil, Lass Diarra, Joe Cole
- Who would you like to see win the league, Man Utd or Chelsea?
Which arm would you like me to sacrifice? Tough question. Probably Chelsea. They’ve defended well, scored bundles of goals and deserve it over United.
ManU as Chelsea are crooked
Aaaaagh! Chelsea have been better, so I’ll say Chelsea.
- Who WILL win the league?
Chelsea I suspect. Wigan won’t upset a team of Chelsea’s discipline and experience.
Chelsea
Chelsea - They don’t give away 2-0 leads against WIGAN!
- Who will leave Arsenal this year?
Silvestre, Gallas, Eduardo. I would very much hope Denilson leaves. Would be gutted if we lost Arshavin.
probably no one but it should be Denilson, Almunia, Fabianski, Sagna, Eboue, Randall, Simpson and Diaby
Almunia, Gallas and Vela. Eboue Geoff?^????
- Who will win the Emirates Cup?
Arsenal, I reckon we rig it.
Arsenal
Poor tournament this year, Arsenal
- What are your views on Wenger?
I’ve lost faith in his ability to win trophies. He’s already talking about 2 players, 3 maximum. He’s telling us Fabianski didn’t play badly against Wigan and his team selection and motivational skills are going down the toilet.
Time to move on, he is becoming Mr Arsenal and that's not healthy, he is not bigger than the club and will not be questioned.
For what he has done for Arsenal, I have to back him up. Maybe it should be time up but I can’t support it. In the market, Wenger needs to make sure he does our team good and strengthens the squad.
- Where will Arsenal finish next season?
I couldn’t possibly predict! If we don’t do a good job this summer, outside the top 4 is a real possibility. If Arsene uses his cheque book like we know he can… we could win the league. Which Arsene shows up this transfer window is anyone’s guess.
4th unless we buy.
Tough one! With Spuds and Man Citeh pushing closer each year, out of the top four could be Arsenal next season. As Citeh will strengthen their team with their zillions so Wenger better do a good job.
That is the end of the Q&A session. Thanks for reading, share your thoughts and answer the questions below. Many thanks to Geoff and Pedro from Le-Grove. Visit Le-Grove at www.le-grove.co.uk.
Well, we are all gutted by the season but i still favor Wenger to stall but his powers should be cut down, I'd welcome the return of David Dein any day...for me our signings should be Hart, Servet Çetin, Cahill, J.Cole, Chamakh
ReplyDeleteto go: Almunia, fabianski, denilson, silvestre, Gallas
Interesting thoughts, although Geoff talks too much LOL
ReplyDeleteGood to see Gooners collaborating.
ReplyDeleteWe need more of this. Next time try to get more blogs together, even if it means Geoff has to get into a coalition.
Didee - Wenger should defo have less power, like the look of your signings, not really seen Cetin much but cahil is brill as so is cole.
ReplyDeleteWenger is losing the plot - Ha ha so you'd like it less if geoff spoke less? Just a question because of your name; Do you want wenger out? Who would you like to come in?
Anonymous - Glad you liked it hope to do some more.
